When I was of seven, I used to think that death penalty is another evil to end all the evils in our country. By the age of nine, I came to know that it was something necessary to maintain rules and regulation. But by the age of ten, a fight started, between my heart and mind. It was about whether life cost more than any-thing else? By the age of eleven, I felt that it was an inhuman practice. But by the age of 12, I got answers of all my questions. When Ajmal Kasab was executed by hanging due to his motive of terrorism, I realized that it was something that could help maintain peace all over the world. After the case of Yakub Memon, 2015 I started believing that to kill the evil we need to kill its cause. And death penalty is one of the ways through which we can get out of this chaos. So, I sum up by saying that the best way make the hard core criminals realize the cost of life, by submitting them to the similar situation.

The one who has committed serious crime of rape, torture, murder, should be punished. People fear nothing more than death. Therefore, nothing will deter a criminal more than the fear of death. Life in prison is less feared. The rate of crime will not decrease, if criminals woon't fear. Many opponents present a fact death penalty is immoral, but death penalty is not good on part of human by treating a defender as a free moral actor able to control his own destiny for good or for ill. It is true that death penalty is very expensive than life imprisonment, but security, health care and botheration will continue till the criminals dies. Will you let a snake bite you twice? The answer is no you want it to be dead. So, just justice is essential for crime.

Here i ask you all a question - Does it makes any sense? Is there a sense in killing a killer or a criminal? Here at this stage, every one of your opinions matter. Our country and the whole of the world has entered in a futuristic age where everyone is treated equally. So, who are we humans to decide the age of a person? Morally what makes us better if we kill those who kill? It is hypocritical. Plus it is an easy way out for the criminals. It would rather have them suffer in jail for the rest of their lives without parole. So this type of punishment is not a deterrent. The injection method is one of the most painful ways to do it. It just collapses your lungs before anybody has a chance to yell in pain. Plus the injection chemicals are becoming rarer, thus making it more expensive with each injection. In fact it is cheaper to keep an inmate in prison for life without parole than it is to kill them. It doesn't make sense to spend more money on a morally questionable act that has shown no signs of determent. Also, in BIBLE, it is said that killing people is a sin. In Old Testament times, it is mentioned that anyone who commits adultery should be stoned to death. Being an Indian, I disagree with death penalty .We all see in television that so many people have been killed wrongly .The real criminal is not killed though. One of the most famous examples was of 'Yakub Mayman' who, after having a life imprisonment was signed to death. It is seen that if a person is imprisoned his or her personality and character totally change as seen in Anton Chekov's story 'The Bet'. Eighth amendment and the constitution of America clearly states that cruel and unusual punishments should be discarded from the society. Today, almost 64% of people of Punjab are against death penalty.

Life-Long Imprisonment and the Corporal punishments are the two faces of a same coin. They both are equally immoral. However I don't get the point to execute a person for his creepy sins. If our Justice is taking blood for blood, flesh for flesh, body for body; then I don't think that there is any difference between the law breakers and the law makers.
I know Life-Long Imprisonment is also not good but at least a person remains alive and one gets another chance to make his/her life better. It may change one's way of living. Coming to the point that the corporal punishment should be banned or not; I firmly believe that there is no need of such an old-fashioned, worthless capital punishment nowadays.

I believe that death penalty should be banned as it is an inhuman practice. Killing someone for his mistake is not a good option to punish him. What good it would do? It will not benefit anyone. There are many people who commit crimes but every one of them cannot be hanged and thus the problem of murder, terror attacks, robberies etc prevails but if a person is imprisoned for life, there are chances that he might realize his mistake and when released may prove to be good cause for his country. Life imprisonment may make a person wiser. He can do a lot good for his country then. Sometimes a punishment can bring a wrong doer back to path. Death penalty should be banned as there seems no good cause in hanging a person.
